I ordered, and paid for a living room set online. We just moved back to Houston, so my debit card had reached its limit for the day, and I put it on my fiance´s card.
(Same credit union) Payment went through, no problem. First delay, he received an email from Sarah, saying that she needed a copy of his license and his billing address for the card, needed to match the address on his license. We emailed his license, and explained the billing address was not going to match the address on his license, and told her we would gladly offer her our credit union phone number so she can verify. She emailed back and said that was fine but for me to have my driver's license available when the furniture delivered on Tuesday March 20th because the driver would ask for it.
I called Bel Furniture Monday March 19th because I had not heard anything regarding a delivery time. I was told that the delivery driver would call me the morning of and let me know a time frame. I waited and waited this morning,March 20th, for the delivery driver to call. 10:15 a.m.
and still nothing. So I called Bel Furniture, they said it was being loaded on the truck and the driver would call me once it was loaded and he had a delivery time. I then got a phone call from the most unprofessional lady (I wish I could remember her name), who claimed to be the manager at the warehouse in Katy Texas. She advised that every piece of the furniture I ordered, which was a 3-piece living room set, was damaged and they would not be able to deliver it for another 2 to 3 days.
That was not going to be acceptable because I have taken off work for the delivery of this furniture today! She eventually told me the only thing she could do was to refund my money. I requested to speak to someone over her twice. She acted like she attempted to reach someone, told me the owner was in China so I could not speak to him, and eventually hung up in my face.
I called the HR department and spoke to the nicest lady who was really trying to get to the bottom of the situation. Then the nicest delivery driver called me and was going to deliver my furniture today but could not because the refund had already been processed. That unprofessional female that I spoke to should be fired! They had the furniture set at another warehouse and this driver that called, was going to personally go to the other warehouse to pick the furniture set up and deliver it today.
I don't know who this manager is at the Katy Warehouse I know she is a female Hispanic lady. She should be fired and she should be ashamed of herself! I spent the last money that I had getting this furniture, and have been in my apartment for almost a week now waiting on it, and to know that all she had to do was go to another Warehouse to get this furniture set (which is still advertised on their website on sale as of today March 20th), makes me even more upset. I am a repeat customer.
The first time I ever shopped at Bel Furniture spent well over $15,000 to furnish my home! They will never have to worry about my business ever again, and I will let anyone and everyone who attempts to shop with them know exactly what happened today. This was over three pieces of furniture a sofa loveseat and chair that came free with my order! They had almost a week to tell me that this would not be delivered today and I had to call myself to get any kind of response out of them.
I work in logistics everyday and this would be something I could lose my job behind, and they act like it's no big deal.
Whoever the manager is at the warehouse in Katy she is pathetic! ( if she's even really the manager I can't imagine a manager handling business the way she did)

(I -45 Greenspoint) ask me to find another bed in store or online, I agreed. Once I choose a bed CLARENCE at that ,she tells me the owner dose not want to exchange my bed and he dose not talk to customers.
REALLY!!! Mattress Matt (Gallery Furniture) is standing at the front of his store and Bel Furniture owner won't talk on the phone. Store manager Lavita call me today to say they will be out Friday to pick up the entire bedroom set $1900.00 will be refunded.

I wish I read the reviews before I went to Bel Furniture. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received in my life in regards to making a purchase.
I spent over $3,000 on a new couch and entertainment center. The sales person was nice, however the manger Edward has the worst customer service skills I have ever seen from a manager. I asked about delivery and if I could set up a day and time that would work for me. He stated that we can pick the day however we cannot pick the window of time that would work for us nor would we know a day before to make plans with our employer so we can be there.
He was firm on that stance. As a result if you get furniture delivered and you have a job you will be forced to take a day off for delivery. I was told that I would be called around 8:00 a.m. to be given my window of delivery.
8:00 a.m. came and went so I decided to call the store when they opened at 10:00 a.m. to find out my delivery. I was told between 11:00 a.m.
and 1:00 p.m. When they finally arrived sever hours late from my window they show up with half the couch missing. I inquired with the delivery driver and he said this happens a lot. I pointed out on the Bel website that prior to delivery they unpack the furniture make sure all the pieces are there and no damage is on the furniture.
He laughed and said “no one does that, it’s just for show”. He then proceeded to tell me to call the store to find out where the rest of my furniture is at. I contact the store and they inform me that they made a mistake at the warehouse and will deliver it next Saturday, I asked why not today and they said “we don’t have you scheduled for a second delivery today”. That didn’t make any sense to me.
I then have to take another day off from work to be there for delivery and again they don’t call to tell me my window I have to call them. They put me on hold for a while and stated “we will call you back”. I wait all afternoon and decided to call again, this time they tell me “they forgot to put me on the schedule” even though it stated on my invoice that the rest of my couch will be delivered on Saturday. So far I’m out $800 in income from them not doing their job.
I talk to Edward who is the store manager at the Webster location and he could care less and said “you are not the first person to complain about this and proceeded to treat me like I’m a burden by calling him to be bothered with my delivery issue on furniture I payed over $3,000 for. As of right now who knows if I will ever get my couch from these people. I paid $128 for delivery and had a contract with them and will be filling suit for breach of contract, if you have had the same problem as I, message me and I will point you in the right direction to file suit against them for breach of contract. Bel Furniture is a scam and have scammed me out of $3,000.
Don’t make the same mistake I and many thousands before you have made in buying from this place.
Edit: (Response to Owner) I went ahead and called the number left by the "owner". I got a hold of a customer service rep and they literally offered me nothing other then to say that I need to take another day off from work to have this piece delivered. They offered nothing to compensate my lost time or income as a result of their negligence. I tried to explain to the customer service rep about my experience, yet she stated that she had other customers and didn't want to listen about my experience.
The person replying to these post as the "owner" obviously has never called the number and spoken with customer service as a secret shopper just to see how little these people care. I'm shocked, literally shocked. How is this place still in business?
FYI: I was put on hold a total of six times for a total of 32 minutes. Each time she put me on hold I was in the middle explaining my story.
When she got back on the phone she stated again "we will deliver it on Saturday". Customer service rep I spoke with is Margarita.

Worst customer service ever
I bought a bed and a mattress on 11/4/17 to be delivered 11/14/17. Of course that required a day off from work.
Delivery came late without the mattress. No one called before or after the delivery about the masttress. After two days, I called the store to get answers and set a date. The Saturday before delivery they called to verify address and a time of between 5-9.
Monday morning on my way to work they call to say they are on there way. Wait. What? I got my son to wait for the delivery.
They can’t find the place because they have the wrong address. Then they don’t want to assemble the bed which was paid for. Finally they agreed. When I thought it couldn’t get any worst, this is what I came home to-see photos.
Mattresses leaned up at the entrance and discoloration all over the frame. I went to the store and complain. Some was suppose to call me back the next morning and never did so I called.
When I spoke with the manager I just told him to just pick it up. I would never do business with that company again.

Bad Customer Service
I visited the new location of Bel furniture in Katy on 10/29/2017 with my parents to purchase a sofa set for my living room. We purchased a sofa and love seat set in grey color as my mother liked the comfort it had.
We requested the store manager Mr. George to delivery it at the earliest as we had a grand party on 11/11/2017. The delivery was scheduled for 11/7/2017. I took an early off from work to receive the delivery.
To our disappointment, sofa was missing two back pillows and love seat delivered was completely different and unmatched with the sofa.(It was in brown color). When I informed the fact, the staff asked me to call the store as they had no idea about it. I immediately called the store and the representative Ms. Wilden informed me that she will check with the distribution center and the correct love seat will be delivered on 11/9/2017 between 10am - 4pm.
So I had to take another day off from work to be at home to receive the correct love seat and to return the incorrect one. But no delivery came on that day. In the evening, I called distribution center they informed me that nothing was scheduled for us. I called store for Ms.
Wilden but she was not available and on that day Ms. Erica informed that Wilden already talked to the truck driver and the love seat will be delivered positively by 11/10/2017. I took another day off from work to accept the delivery as I had a grand party on the weekend. But no delivery was made again; I made several phone calls to the Katy store and the distribution center.
The distribution centre blamed Katy store and Katy store manager Mr. George blamed distribution center for wrong delivery and unable to trace the misplaced love seat. On next morning (11/11/2017), I visited Katy store and requested to do something as I had grand party and it was looking very odd with sofa without two back pillows and love seat was completely off. On that day George was not available, Mr.
Fred rudely said he can’t do anything on our case and asked us to return the sofa and love seat and claim our money back or call George next week. As this sofa set was my mother’s choice so I decided to wait and called George next week, he asked to give him few days as he was emailing to his managers to locate the love seat and also agreed to compensate on missing pillows of the sofa. I kept trying to call George to find out but Ms. Wilden at Katy store informed me that either he was not available or he was busy with other customer.
On Saturday (11/18/2017), I again visited Katy store with my wife and sister, when asked for George a staff member informed that he was having his lunch, the other said he should be here in 10 minutes. We waited for an hour and a half for George. One of the staff member at that time informed that George came back and in the back of the store. At the same time Mr.
Fred came to us, he was very rude and offensive and informed that George may not come today as he gone to SAMS and Walmart for purchasing of Thanksgiving stuff, he insisted me to schedule return of the items and claim the refund and leave the store at the earliest. When I insisted to meet George, he goes to the back of the store, where George was waiting for his feedback. In two minutes George came to us without any embarrassment, he let us know that distribution center completely failed to do its responsibility for correct delivery of the items and also they were unable to locate where the actual items went wrongly delivered. George very disrespectfully said that he can’t do anything as they were going to be busy in thanks giving and even they can’t schedule the items back before 11/29/2017 and after that they will refund all my money.
George informed that they do not sell incomplete set in the store as the sofa misplaced its back pillows and also its love seat. He also informed that sofa will be send and sold at other location at a discounted price. I asked George that my mother selected this sofa so can I know the discounted price for it? I may buy the sofa and you can take the wrong delivered love seat.
George agreed to check from its corporate office and let me know in three days. Today ten days have passed and I have not received any call from George or any other customer service staff on the discounted price of the sofa. Long story short, now let me know, where is the Bel furniture customer services and the customer satisfaction? This is not the right solution that if store makes mistake they ask the buyer to return back the items and claim the money back.
I cooperated a lot with Katy store and suffered a month. In return, as a customer, I did not get due respect, did not get correct items, did not get prompt responses, did not get positive feedback, even I did not get the reply on discounted price of sofa. I have taken off for two and a half days just to have the right delivery on time. I had also visited personally 4 times to the store and waited long to get an answer, my grand party was disturbed due to wrong delivery of the items, I called countless times to Katy store and Bel furniture delivery center (you can check the notes in the system).
How can Bel furniture customer satisfaction service compensate all my time, money and efforts? And when can I have my money back?
Hope this time the items will be picked from my home on weekend as I am not going to take off again and process my money back on the same day. I hope that the Bel Furniture will take care of me as a customer and value my efforts, cost and time and will compensate me accordingly.
