Bel Furniture - They will refuse to deliver your property and then call you a racist.

I spent multiple thousands of dollars and there was an issue with two items. Accidents happen and that's fine. I was told that the replacements would be sent out in a week. I was not satisfied with this timeframe, but they wouldn't do anything to compensate me.

So a week later I get a text. At around 9am they said they'd arrive between 1pm and 4pm. No call, no show, no text. 12 hours later, they tell me the delivery has been cancelled. They had my property in their truck and instead of delivering it to me, they drive back 4 hours up to Houston. To this day I've not gotten a single explanation of why this happened, and I've asked multiple Bel employees. That is a refusal to deliver my property along with the complete rudeness of not even having the decency to tell me it's been cancelled until hours later.

I then initiate the first and only chargeback of my entire life

I get a call from Bel, they want to deliver my stuff. Fool me once, right? I ask why the delivery was cancelled and Tiffany didn't know. Ok. So am I supposed to just keep calling in sick so they can keep not delivering my property? Can I get compensation for having called in sick for no reason? Of course not, but she doesn't say no, she says she will send an internal email. Well, apparently she just noted in the system that I refused delivery, which is a lie. And then Bel ends up lying to my credit card company, saying I refused delivery.

I get another call from Bel, now they want their stuff back and want to arrange a pickup date. Boy, I bet they'd actually show up if it's to get their stuff. Only problem is that I don't want a refund. I want my property. I stated this and the employee acknowledged hearing it. They continue to lie to my credit card company.

Finally I get a letter from my CC company and I read it and to my horror it says I've been refusing delivery! So I go into the store in person. I'm angry and I let it show. The store manager, Veronica F (who seems to have left a review on here for her own company), responds with equal hostility. Unprofessional, but ok. Fair enough. But then she calls me a racist! Why? Because on my Google review I pointed out that the workers who entered my home to assemble the furniture couldn't speak English. Well, they couldn't! And I needed to communicate with them. I really hate this misaligned and crumpled up rug in my office that cannot be fixed. I can't remove the corner desk from my room without putting *** in my wall, or else finding the power tools necessary to take it apart. Or I guess maybe I'm supposed to just levitate it with my powers of telekinesis and then fix the rug. All of this could've been avoided if the workers spoke English. But apparently according to Veronica F, I have to just deal with having a messed up rug that always annoys me when I step on the bubble because complaining about what caused the issue makes me a racist. I was unaware that we are born with language. I was unaware that your skin color makes you automatically speak a certain language. I was unaware that language had anything to do with race. Oh wait, that's right, because it doesn't. I don't care if a random person on the street speaks English or not, but if I pay multiple thousands of dollars, then yes, now you need to speak English to me. Imagine paying thousands of dollars for a college course and then the professor doesn't speak English at all. Better not complain or else you're a racist! Veronica F committed slander as an on-the-clock employee of Bel Furniture. It's slander because it is false and was stated in front of a third party (my girlfriend who was with me).

So Bel schedules another delivery of the 2 replacement items. First up, the armchair we never got. THREE months later, hurrah, we got it! Next up, the corner desk in my office that had wrong parts and broken parts, and looked like it was assembled by a child. These new guys did a better job, but really they couldn't have done any worse. They never used the instructions and ended up putting it together and taking it apart several times. In the end, I got a desk that is not exactly even, and with a wobbly frame for the drawers. At least it isn't horrifically ugly like the previous one I guess. But it's clear that Bel is selling an item that they don't know how to assemble. Not a surprise, really, because Bel is just a middleman. The items they sell don't have their insignias. It's some other manufacturer and Bel slaps a tag on the final product. I'd rather just buy directly from a manufacturer than buy from a company that will refuse to deliver, defraud, and personally slander me. Bel, what is it that you actually do?

Damaged dining room chairs.Stained headboard

I bought a dining room set from your furniture store in San Antonio. Was delivered on 2 12 2024.

We were at work when it was delivered.So the next day I was wiping the table down and sat on one of the chairs.I noticed it was very wobbly so my husband checked it and saw it was broken. Another one was cracked.So we took pictures and sent them in to the store. They sent one of their technicians to look at the chairs and he saw everything that was damaged.At that time he noticed that on the other chair that the cushion was not set right.The base of the chair was not even from same set.Not even the same color. This is not the only problem I had at this store.At the time we bought a bed frame,headboard and mattress.The headboard was stained and dirty.I tried talking to the salesman that sold us the furniture about the bed frame.He didnt give us a chance to talk.He jumps off the desk he was sitting on.

Screaming and yelling like a crazy person and pointing his finger in my face.Telling me you will not disrespect me like that.

And walked away. The only reason we did not cancel our contract was because of the 25% cancellation fee.Ive had a very bad experience at this store and I need to cancel the dining room set. I did not create these problems with the furniture.I do not see why you still want to take 25% from the dining set. Can you please wave the 25% fee so that we can go get a another set elsewhere.We are having family from Dallas this weekend and have no table.Can you please help me.This was the first time Ive used your store and it has been a very bad experience.

We paid cash for everything we bought from this store.We were very happy.Until we started receiving our furniture.

I didnt get my furniture as i was told very upset

I was told for aure i was getting my furniture last tuesday after i had pay all the furniture and no body call me on that tuesday and told me that i was only getting my yable and not the sectional when i had called i was told that the furniture wasnt even at the wear house tha they will get it until saturday and my furniture still schedule to deliver until one more week so is gonna take me almost 2 weeks but the time i get it when i was told after paying that i was getting it in a tuedfay which it was only few days all a lie and i still dont have it vety upset about this place

Defective furniture

Bel Furniture - Defective furniture
2 chest were purchased, both defective. I called office within 24 hours & sent photos of everything to ask for a refund. I was told by Delma in the Corpus Christi office I would be 100% fully refunded. 1 month later, I'm told they need to charge me $109 for delivery! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS HORRIBLE FURNITURE COMPANY! (unless you want to throw money away) I've never dealt with a company like this, it's ridiculous!

Not truthful about warranty

Bought a mattress spending over 1k that came with a 15 year warranty. They did not disclose that if i do not pay for the way overpriced mattress protector it would void the warranty.

I purchased a mattress protector from mattress firm for less then half the price that looked to be better quality before the mattress was delivered. Now Bel furniture of Callan in Corpus Christi TX will not replace the mattress. They know they sell low quality, and are ripping people off.

In about 6 months this Restonic mattress sunk down in the middle causing lower back problems along with being uncomfortable. Bel is Trash Americans would be better off with this company unable to operate in the usa.

I purchased lift chair on 08/10/2022 along with the warranty and my husband noticed it was leaning to the right so in November or December I called and they said take a picture and they would get back to me which never happened again called in February same thing may 1st we took it to them because by now it's was broken at the foot stool and all the seems started to tear. I have had leather and vinyl furniture and iron never happened to me.

I was told because of some dog hair it had to be cleaned and then she changed her mind and said she wouldn't do anything for us not repair replacement or store credit.

Now what am I to do. I should have known because I bought a living room set for my daughter and the couch started peeling and even with the warranty they did nothing and I am telling everyone to stay away from Bell.

No communication

I purchased a sectional sofa from, 20424 Highway 59 N. Humble Texas 77338, on February 17, 2023. I explained to the salesperson, Sylvia, that I work 6 days a week and only off on Sunday. She, Sylvia, said she would talk it over with her manager, Tim, and see what arrangements could be made. The both of them came back and said it could be done. They would make arrangements. Tim said he'd have the sofa delivered to his store and then it would be delivered to my home. Sylvia talked to a delivery guy and he said he'd do it. Sylvia told me not to pay for the delivery but pay the delivery driver, $110, when he delivers the sofa. I left assured that I'd get my sofa on the 23rd of February as promised.

Today is the 23rd of February and I don't have my sofa. I stayed home all day waiting for my sofa. I finally called the store and was told by Tim I won't be getting my sofa today because no one could deliver it. I explained to him, more than once, what was said on the day I purchased the sofa and the arrangements that was made.

He, Tim, said he'd give me the floor model. I asked about a reimbursement. He said 10% the first time and I asked was that it and he said the most he could do is 15%. So, I sat longer waiting, thinking I would be getting the sofa today but to no avail I didn't.

I called back at 4:30 pm, even though he said he would call me and keep me posted. He told me he couldn't have the sofa delivered today. I asked for a reimbursement, and he said I'd have to pay 25%. He said he could have the floor model delivered tomorrow. I explained that I have to be to work for 2pm and I leave at 1pm. He said he would have it to my home before 1pm.

This is really really bad customer service. If I wouldn't have contacted them, I wouldn't have never known I wasn't getting my sofa today. The part that *** me off the most is the fact that I would have been charged almost $200 if I would have canceled the sofa.

That's not fair because it was their error not mine. I will not buy anything else from Bel furniture. Very unprofessional. They shouldn't make arrangements they can't uphold.

bel furniture sold defective products and they not willing to deliver for free, when we bought first time they will, so it should be different on price or exchange same manner. because their products is damage, its not customer fault. when we bought original first time furniture we did not pay delivery charges.

the item we got at our house was not what we saw on the display floor. they would not give the one we wanted. we was told we could have the floor model with no discount and full price. tried calling the manager Ruben in the katy texas store multiple times has was always busy and never returned my calls. there are too many other furniture stores to choose from instead of buying from BEL.

Bug infestation from your product

I purchased a bed frame from you and there were bedbugs and their eggs coming out the frame. I was told unfortunately that bug infestation was not covered. The infestation was from your product from your storeroom. So now I have to suffer a lost and throw away my furniture and look for a company that would do the right thing in matters like this.

I purchased an item that I was told would be put together and I was told if I avoided paying a 100 bucks delivery fee they will still put my item together so on 7/1/2022 they called and said my item was ready but it was in a box I dont appreciate your sales rep lying to my thats not fair are right I dont have anyone to put it together.

Dissatisfied

Bought 3 piece living room set Delivered Jan.7 by April couch was falling Do not buy do not apart, one end coming completely off. I went to store and told them I wanted to return whole set and be refunded my money I talk to loan company they said for me to get store to pick up and they would credit my account. I'm retired with very little money. I tried to shop at home but this store has junk furniture. I do not want this furniture I just my money back.

I bought a bedroom set

I purchased a bedroom set. Immediately the next day I called the store for roughly 2 hours and the phone was never answered.

I then called the corporate office Office at 28450 West Ten Blvd, Katy Tx (832)358-**** ext. 110 customer service. The lady I spoke to was rude, over talked me the entire conversation, she was very concerned with getting the last word instead of trying to help me or address my problem. She even hung up the phone during the conversation.

I called her back and another number to ask her name but no answer. The bedroom set I purchased has been in my home for only 6 days and has never been slept on because the mattress set hasnt come in yet. The dresser has 2 knobs with almost no finish on them at all. The dresser mirror has a huge gap between the wood frame and the mirror itself because the mirror is actually cut too narrow on 1 of the sides.

The mirror holders that are on it are just too small to hold the mirror and there arent even enough of them on it. The bed frame is split where the mattress sits on it. And this set is actually new.

The quality is very poor. Please go somewhere else when needing furniture.
